The County is conducting a Project Development & Environment (PD&E) Study to evaluate widening Thompson Nursery Road from West Lake Ruby Drive to U.S. 27. This will be Segment 5 of the planned 4-lane Thompson Nursery Road extension from U.S. 17 to U.S. 27 (see map below). This project will provide additional roadway network connectivity, increase capacity, improve operational efficiency, enhance safety, and accommodate pedestrian and bicycle activity. These improvements will accommodate the continuous growth in population and employment in the area.
